The Better than Starbucks Coffee in Koloa

I do love a Starbucks coffee, though it can be a bit strong. Starbucks also has sandwiches which are okay. But if you really want a great cup of coffee and an outstanding sandwich, head to Koloa Town.

Ali’i Coffee sits on the bottom floor of the new Koloa Village Shopping Center. It’s not a full-on restaurant. They have outdoor only seating (for now) but – you’re in Hawaii so who needs to sit inside! They’re a breakfast and lunch place – open 7:30AM to 1:00PM Monday through Saturday, and 7:00AM to 2:00PM on Sundays.

The bottom line – probably among the top 5 best iced mochas I’ve ever had. Very smooth and just the right amount of chocolate to coffee ratio. Not huge, but absolutely delicious.

Oh, and then there’s the food. I had a hot pastrami sandwich. It was nearly perfect. The sandwich itself wasn’t that large, so don’t plan on sharing, but it had a wonderful mix of meat, sauce, and ciabatta. I loved every bite. The prices aren’t cheap, but the food is worth it.

They have a large selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as acai bowls, burritos and avocado toast. Check out their menu here.

Definitely worth checking out!
